Join us on Saturday, November 12th from 3-6pm as we team up with Peak Organic and Bar Harbor Brewing Company to offer a unique selection of Maine beers for Maine Beer Week. This event is taking place in our store at 335 North Street and is free to the public.

Peak Organic is a small craft brewing company dedicated to making delicious, handcrafted ales using only the finest artisanal ingredients.
From Peak Organic we will be featuring their Hops Noir, a delectable Black IPA, dripping with piney, aromatic Centennial hops. The malt base is dark and rich, anchored by organic black malt. This provides a strong foundation for the extravagant kettle hopping and dry-hopping that this beer experiences. Enjoy with a night-light.
Soon, Peak will also be releasing their newest offering, Local ME, which is a collaboration with local farmers to produce a beer using all local ingredients. The recipe will stay the same, but will be created with ingredients only from the state featured on the bottle. Inconsistencies will be attributed only to the differences in local harvests. More on these new offerings here.

Bar Harbor Brewing Company – (Hailing from Bar Harbor, ME) has been producing great tasting and award winning beers for twenty years. Bar Harbor operates a small brewery and only produces about 8320 gallons of beer per year.
The most likely feature for our tasting this weekend will be the Thunder Hole Ale, a delicious, full-bodied, and complex brown ale. This is the brown ale that beat Newcastle, Sam Adams and more, at the World Beer Championships in Chicago. Cadillac Mountain Stout will most likely be on our table this weekend as well. This thick and full stout maintains great flavors of chocolate and is balanced will with hops. This beer won World Champion for dry stouts in 1995 and was also featured in Men’s Journal as the best hart to find beer in America.
This event is being offered in tandem with Maine Beer Week, which is running from November 10th to 17th and will feature Maine brewers at various locations throughout Southern Maine. For more information on Maine Beer Week please visit http://www.mainebeerweek.com
